In an effort to be transparent and let you guys know one way Georgia and I have such a strong marriage, I want to share with you what I have been doing for over 17 years each month for her specifically on the 12th of each month.
We got married June 12, 2004. Unfortunately, I was in prison on our 17th wedding anniversary. It was extremely hard being away from her on that day. I was in tears. Nonetheless, I still arranged with my boys and my mother in law to have 17 peach roses delivered to the love of my life along with a poem on June 12th.
Besides just getting Georgia flowers each year on our anniversary and a poem, on the 12th of each month during the other months I ALSO give Georgia a poem reminding her of my love for her. So without further a due, here is the poem I am giving Georgia today for the month of July since today is July 12th.

“A Spark”
A spark, then an ember, that’s now a flame
My love for you will forever remain
Through the ups and the downs and
the trials and toils
You mean so much more to me than earthly spoils
Your affections I cherish
A love that won’t perish
You are the light of my life
My dear faithful wife
Though I’m far away
Before the Father I pray
And honor this day
I love you more than simple words can say
Georgia,
Thank you for being married to me for 17 years and 1 month. I look forward to many more to come.
Love,
Your Davey
